(A special thanks to Dorothy in Eldersburg, Maryland who constructed this beautiful Christening gown for her great granddaughter using white Imperial Batiste fabric. The pattern is an adaptation of Ellen McCarn's Basic Yoke pattern and the smocking plate is an adaptation of Grace L. Knott's Baby Bonnet pattern. She used pink floche for the smocking and matching piping to create this lovely dress.)
A delicate blended batiste from Spechler-Vogel that is wash and wear and is lovely for both smocking and heirloom sewing. A good all purpose fabric. 44/45" Wide, 65% Polyester - 35% Combed Cotton.
